We start planning and preparing the ground for our garden and kitchen garden as early as spring. In other words, we need to prepare the soil before planting. It is worth digging a hole for each plant, 25–30 cm in diameter and the same depth. Fill this with suitable planting compost so that it forms a mound 8–10 cm above ground level.
Florimo Garden and Vegetable Soil is a specialised growing medium for planting and cultivating garden flowers, shrubs and vegetables. It provides an excellent medium for the consistent growth of both ornamental plants and vegetables. Thanks to its loose structure, more vigorous root development can take place upon planting, its good water-retention capacity ensures a more consistent water supply for our plants, whilst its excellent nutrient content supports their continued growth.
Did you know that Florimo Garden Flower and Vegetable Soil contains sphagnum peat, lowland peat, composted cattle manure, clay and fertiliser?

Before planting, prepare the pot – you can place clay granules at the bottom to improve drainage – then fill it one-third full with soil. Next, place the plant in the pot, fill the pot with soil and tamp it down. When planting outdoors, prepare the soil, fill the planting hole with soil, plant the plant and then tamp the soil down. After 2–4 weeks, we recommend applying nutrients appropriate to the plant variety in the form of liquid fertiliser or organic manure.
