Orchids take months to prepare and delight us for months with their floral splendour. We love giving them as gifts, and for anyone who falls in love with them, it is important to ensure the plant thrives so that they can admire its flowers once again.
Caring for it requires attention and one of the most specialised growing media. As it is an epiphyte (a plant that lives on trees but does not parasitise them) in its natural habitat, it does not require a soil-based growing medium. Orchids prefer a loose texture, which is why Florimo Orchid Soil is the ideal growing medium, containing a blend of selected larch bark, perlite, coconut fibre and fibrous peat.
