A volcanic rock that occurs naturally; by mixing its ground form – and subsequently the expanded perlite granules – into the soil, we ensure an airy environment and a consistent water supply for the potting compost. It is an excellent soil conditioner, capable of retaining 20 times its original weight in water.

For rooting and propagation, planting houseplants, outdoor gardening and soil improvement, hydroponic plants, laying lawns and golf courses, planting roof garden plants, and loosening soil.
Using it ensures optimal aeration of the soil, improves its water-holding capacity (soil moisture regulation) and enhances soil structure stabilisation. It promotes the development of a rich and healthy root system, whilst also increasing the plant’s resistance. Perlite does not contain any nutrients, but it can also be used to prolong the effect of mineral fertilisers.
Suggested use:
● For rooting, sowing and propagation, mix into the soil or propagation medium at a rate of 30–60%
● For houseplants with high oxygen requirements (orchids, ferns, bonsai, etc.), mix into the potting compost at a ratio of 50%
● For field-grown and container-grown plants, mix 25–50% into the soil; when planting trees and shrubs, mix 5–10 l per tree into the soil
● For hydroponic plants, mix into the growing medium at a rate of 50–60%
● For laying turf and golf courses, mix 30–60 l/m² into the top 10–15 cm layer of soil
● For roof garden lawns and planting media, mix into the soil at a rate of 25–50%.
